3.5. Check of a condition of tires and pressure of their rating, rotation of wheels

Regular check of a condition of tires will allow to avoid the troubles connected with stops in way because of the lowered wheel. Besides, such checks give valuable information on possible problems with components of the steering drive and a suspension bracket until emergence of emergence in them serious damages.

At a sports manner of driving it is recommended to increase pressure in forward and back tires by 0.2 atm, an outcome from base-line values.

Tires can be equipped with the built-in indicators of wear of a protector in the form of the color strips which are bared at decrease in depth of a protector to 1.6 mm, - this value is minimum admissible, it is in most cases recommended to replace tires which depth of a protector makes less than 2 mm. Protector depth can always be determined by the simple and inexpensive adaptation known under the name of the measuring instrument of depth of a protector.

Pay attention to signs of uneven wear of protectors. Such defects as cavities, swellings, flattening and unilateral wear indicate violation of angles of installation of wheels, or disbalance of wheel assembly, - drive away the car on the station of adjustment of disorder convergence.

Unilateral wear

Central wear

Uneven wear
