3.26. Check of a state and replacement of a belt of the GRM drive

Do not turn the engine for camshafts and other cogwheels of the GRM drive! If opposite is not stipulated especially, the provorachivaniye of the engine has to be made only in the normal direction! Do not turn cranked/distributive shaft at the taken-off GRM drive belt! Remember need of respect for purity, - hit of dirt or lubricant on a new gas-distributing belt is not admissible at all! Do not twist a new belt and do not bend it under acute angles! At installation of the belt which was in the use track that the direction of its rotation remained the same! |
All models
Replacement of a belt of the GRM drive has to be made at least the routine maintenance of the car of term specified in Graphics (see the Section Schedule of Routine Maintenance), and also in case of identification of signs of excessive wear and detection of mechanical damages, - at survey do not overwind a tape of a belt and do not bend it under acute angles.
Check of a condition of a belt of the GRM drive

- Cock the parking brake and disconnect a negative wire from the battery.

Petrol models
Details of installation of a belt of the GRM drive of the petrol engine
Removal
|
- For the purpose of simplification of a provorachivaniye of a bent shaft turn out spark plugs.
- Empty the cooling system (see the Section Check of Level of Working Liquids).
- Take off belts of the drive of auxiliary units (see the Head Dvigatel).
- Remove the cooling system fan with a basic arm (see the Head of the Cooling system, heating, ventilation and air conditioning).
- Remove a casing of the thermostat (1).
- Turn out a fixing bolt (2) and remove a pulley (3) of a bent shaft.
- Remove top (4) and the lower (5) covers of the GRM drive.
- Having turned a bent shaft in the normal direction, bring the piston of the first cylinder into the provision of VMT of the end of a step of compression, - track correctness of provision of adjusting tags (6 and 7).
- Remove the directing washer (8) of a cogwheel of a bent shaft.
- Weaken a bolt (9), take away a tension roller from a tape of a belt, then again slightly tighten a bolt.
- Take off a gear belt of the GRM drive.
- Estimate a condition of tension and intermediate rollers. Replace defective components.

Installation
|
- Make sure of correctness of provision of adjusting tags (6 and 7).
- Since a cogwheel of the camshaft and moving in the direction counterclockwise, get a new belt on the regular place, - track density of landing of a belt on cogwheels.
- Release a bolt (9) of a tension roller and turn a bent shaft on two whole revolutions in the direction clockwise, - make sure that adjusting tags (6 and 7) reached the correct positions, otherwise repeat the procedure of a tension of a belt.
- Turn a bent shaft in the direction clockwise so that the tag of "S" on a cogwheel of the final camshaft was combined with risky (10).
- Tighten a bolt (9) of a tension roller with the required effort (37 ÷ 52 Nanometers).
- Press the top shoulder of a belt (shooter) with effort about 10 kgfs, - the size of a deflection of a tape has to make 7.5 ÷ 8.5 mm.
- Further installation is made as it should be, the return to an order of dismantle of components. The effort of tightening of bolts (2) pulleys of a bent shaft makes 12 ÷ 17 Nanometers.
- In conclusion do not forget to fill the cooling system (see the Section Check of Level of Working Liquids).

Diesel models
Removal
Details of installation of a belt of a wire of GRM of the diesel engine
|
- Empty the cooling system (see the Section Check of Level of Working Liquids).
- Order of removal of a belt of the GRM drive you make dismantle of components according to the given numbering.
|
- Remove components of a natyazhitel and estimate their condition. Check serviceability and noiselessness of rotation of a roller, make sure of lack of symptoms of easing/stretching of a spring. Replace defective components.
|
|
Do not wash out assembly of a natyazhitel any solvents. In case of need wipe the polluted surfaces with soft rags. |
- Make sure of lack of signs of excessive wear and mechanical damages of cogwheels of the GRM drive. Replace defective components.

Installation
|
|
- Achieve the correct arrangement of adjusting tags of cogwheels cranked and camshafts.
|
|
- Establish a natyazhitel, his lock bolt and a spring in the situation corresponding to the minimum effort of a tension of a belt. Take away a natyazhitel against the stop to the left and, having tightened a lock bolt, temporarily record it in this situation.
|
- Put a belt on cogwheels, then release a lock bolt of a natyazhitel, having allowed a spring to press a roller to the smooth party of a tape of a belt densely.
- Turn a bent shaft in the NORMAL direction (clockwise) for the purpose of alignment of effort of a tension of a belt twice. Tighten a lock bolt of a natyazhitel with the required effort (31.4 ÷ 46.1 Nanometers).

- Make sure of correctness of combination of adjusting tags of cogwheels cranked / camshafts and the TNVD drive, then check correctness of a tension of a belt, having pressed a side shoulder of a belt with effort about 10 kgfs, - the size of a deflection of a tape has to make 10.8 ÷ 12.9 mm.
|
- Further installation is made as it should be, the return to an order of dismantle of components - track correctness of landing of rubber sealing elements of covers of the GRM drive. You remember need of observance of requirements of Specifications of the Head the Current leaving and service to efforts of tightening of carving fixture.
- In conclusion make gas station of the cooling system (see the Section Check of Level of Working Liquids).
