Start of the engine and start of motion

Preparation for a trip on the car

Before getting into the car make sure that its glasses, mirrors and lighting fixtures are not polluted. Estimate a condition of wheels, glance under the car and make sure of lack of signs of development of leak of working liquids. Before a start of motion a backing make sure of absence behind the car of obstacles.

Regularly according to the Schedule of maintenance (see the Head the Current leaving and service) check levels of working liquids of the engine (motive oil, cooling liquid, brake liquid / liquid of the drive of coupling). Also check the level of liquid of washers of glasses.

Having taken the driver's place, make the following actions:

Requirements to a physical condition of the driver

Do not drive the drunk car since alcohol dulls sharpness of perception of external influences, reduces reaction and breaks coordination of movements.

You do not take the wheel after drug intake, reducing attention, or increasing drowsiness, and also being in the painful, overexcited or tired state.

Start of the engine

Between repeated attempts at unsuccessful starts of the engine it is necessary to maintain the pause lasting not less than 10 seconds providing cooling of a starter!

The starter will not function at not completely squeezed out coupling pedal (model with RKPP) / the lever of the selector of automatic transmission brought out of situation "P" / "N" (model with AT).

After long idle time of the vehicle start of the engine can be followed by the raised noise background which has to disappear after warming up of the unit up to the normal working temperature. If noise does not stop, ask for the help specialists of car service.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Make sure that the lever of the parking brake is completely cocked.
  2. On models with RKPP squeeze out a pedal of coupling and include neutral transfer, - start of the engine is possible only at completely squeezed out coupling pedal. On models transfer the selector lever from AT situation "P" or "N" and against the stop squeeze out a pedal of a foot brake.
  3. Turn a key in the lock of ignition and hold it in situation START until the engine is not started (but no more than 10 seconds) then release a key, - it has to return to position of ON.
  4. At a temperature of air below -18 °C and also if the car was not operated within several days, let's the engine get warm, without squeezing out the accelerator pedal.

Normal start of the engine does not demand squeezing of the accelerator pedal!

If the engine decayed during the movement of the car, do not try to move the lever of the selector of the AT modes to situation "P". Instead (if road conditions allow) include neutral transfer and try to start the engine.

Start of the cold engine

The engine is considered cold if temperature of cooling liquid makes 0 °C or below. In such conditions of a problem of start of the engine are usually connected with the fact that cylinders are "filled in" with excess fuel.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Perform procedures of preparation for start of the engine.
  2. Completely squeeze out the accelerator pedal, and approximately for 10 seconds turn a key in the ignition lock in situation START for the purpose of removal of excess fuel from cylinders, - if the engine is started, at once release a key and a pedal.
  3. If the engine was not started, repeat attempt with the released accelerator pedal.

The pause between attempts has to make not less than 10 seconds.

Start of the heated-up engine

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Perform procedures of preparation for start of the engine.
  2. Squeeze out the accelerator pedal approximately on a half of its course, turn a key in the lock of ignition and hold it in situation START within about 10 seconds.
  3. After implementation of start of the engine let's it work within about 10 seconds on single turns, only after it begin the movement.
