4.4.8. Removal, installation and service of the oil pump

This procedure is among those which performance does not demand removal of the engine from the car.

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Empty the cooling system (see the Head the Current leaving and service).
  2. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
  3. Merge motive oil (see the Head the Current leaving and service).
  4. Take off a GRM drive belt (see the Head the Current leaving and service).
  5. Remove the case pallet, a maslozabornik and a maslootrazhatel (see the Section Removal and installation of the pallet of a case).
  6. Turn out two bolts of fastening of the steering pump and four bolts of fastening of its basic arm.
  7. Remove the steering pump assembled with a basic arm.
  8. Remove a GRM drive cogwheel from a bent shaft, - in case of need use the stripper intended for dismantle of a steering wheel.
  9. Turn out four remained fixing bolts and remove assembly of the oil pump.
  1. Remove from pump assembly a sealing ring (1).

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Establish the NEW sealing ring on pump assembly.
  1. Impose a continuous pillow of sealant on the interfaced surface of pump assembly.
  1. Install the pump on the engine and fix it by four bolts, having tightened the last with the required effort (bolts And: 22 Nanometers, bolts In: 44.5 Nanometer).
  2. Turn out two lower, then two top bolts of fastening of the К/В compressor.
  3. Release three bolts of fastening of a basic arm of the К/В compressor.
  4. Establish a basic arm of the steering pump and fix it by four bolts, having tightened them manually.
  5. Tighten three bolts of fastening of basic arm К/В.
  6. Install into place the K/V compressor, having manually tightened bolts of its fastening.
  7. Tighten bolts of fastening of the compressor (at first top, then lower) with the required effort (23.5 Nanometers).
  8. Tighten bolts of fastening of a basic arm of the steering pump with the required effort (32.4).
  9. Install the steering pump and fix it by two bolts, having tightened the last with the required effort (57.5 Nanometers).
  10. Establish into place a cogwheel of a bent shaft, having tightened a big central bolt with the required effort (162 Nanometers).
  11. Further installation is made as it should be, the return to an order of dismantle of components. Do not forget about need of observance of requirements of Specifications of the Head Dvigatel to efforts of tightening of carving fixture.
  12. Fill in fresh engine oil in the engine.
  13. Start the engine and check it for existence of signs of development of leaks through joints of the installed components.
  14. In conclusion check correctness of installation of a corner of an advancing of ignition, in case of need make the corresponding adjustment (see the Head Sistemy of electric equipment of the engine).

Service

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Transfer pump assembly to a workbench, turn out seven fixing screws and uncover (1).
  2. Take internal (3) and external (2) rotors.
  3. Take a lock ring and remove components of the reducing valve (a saddle, a spring and a plunger).
  4. Take an epiploon (5), - the epiploon is subject to replacement without fail (see the Section Replacement of Epiploons of a Bent Shaft).

Check

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Attentively examine the case and a cover of the pump, in case of identification of cracks, deformations and other mechanical damages replace defective components.
  2. Estimate degree of wear of a plunger of assembly of the reducing valve, in case of need make its replacement.
  3. Check a condition of a spring of valvate assembly, in case of detection of defects make replacement. Measure free length a spring, - if the result of measurement exceeds value of 45.5 mm, the spring is also subject to replacement.
  4. Make control measurements:
  • Measure the size of an axial side play of rotors;
  • Measure gap size between tops of teeths of rotors;
  • Measure the size of a side play of landing of an external rotor in the working camera of the case.
  1. Compare results of measurements to requirements of Specifications of the Head Dvigatel, in case of need make the corresponding replacements.

Assembly

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Installation is made as it should be, the return to an order of dismantle of components. Before landing in pump assembly oil the NEW epiploon pure motive. The cover is put on the case through sealant. Track that fixing screws were tightened with the required effort (7.5 Nanometers).
