4.4.5. Service of a head of cylinders and components of the gas-distributing mechanism

This procedure is among those which performance does not demand removal of the engine from the car.

Installation details, design of a head of cylinders and the scheme of the organization of the drive of valves are shown also on an illustration of the Detail of installation of the inlet pipeline and a final collector.

Dismantle and service of components

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Perform necessary preparatory procedures (see in the Section of System of electric equipment of the engine).
  2. Take off a gas-distributing belt and components of the GRM drive (see the Head the Current leaving and service and the Section Removal and installation of components of the GRM drive).
  3. Previously having removed the thermofilter, turn out fixing bolts and separate a final collector from a head of cylinders and a reception pipe of system of production of the fulfilled gases.
  4. Turn out fixing bolts and separate assembly of the inlet pipeline from a head of cylinders.
  5. Turn out fixing bolts and uncover heads of cylinders and a forward cover.
  1. Working strictly in a certain order, in two-three receptions release bolts of fastening of a head of cylinders. Finally turn out fixing bolts and remove a head, previously having tapped on joint perimeter with the block the hammer with soft brisk. Remove sealing laying of a head.
  1. Examine a head on existence of traces of development of leaks, cracks, cavities in the interfaced surfaces and other mechanical damages. By means of the probe of lezviyny type and the measuring instrument of planeness (the steel ruler put on an edge) estimate extent of deformation of the cylinders interfaced to the block (see an illustration an illustration), the inlet pipeline and a final collector of surfaces of a head. Compare results of measurements to requirements of Specifications of the Head Dvigatel. In case of need give a head to a pro-point (see Specifications of the Head Dvigatel), previously having checked also the size of deepening of valvate saddles and working gaps in camshaft bearings.
  1. Working strictly in a certain order, release bolts of fastening of covers of bearings of camshafts.
  1. Uncover and take camshafts.
  1. Marking adjusting provisions, take hydropushers of valves from a head of cylinders, - at installation pushers have to be established strictly on the former places (if need for their replacement is absent). Examine pushers on existence of signs of wear and mechanical damages, replace defective components. If when tightening by section fingers pushers are displaced from each other, the pusher is also subject to replacement.
  1. Carefully wipe beds of bearings in a head and covers, then lay camshafts on the regular places and measure sizes of their axial side plays.
  1. By means of the Plastigage set serially determine sizes of working gaps in camshaft bearings, - track correctness of an arrangement of covers and observance of requirements of Specifications of the Head Dvigatel to efforts of tightening of their fixture.

Tightening of bolts should be made as it should be, the return to an order of their otpuskaniye.

  1. Compare results of the performed measurements to requirements of Specifications of the Head Dvigatel, in case of need replace a shaft and/or a head.
  2. By means of special devices squeeze a spring of the first valve (see an illustration) and take from a flute on its core crackers of the cutting lock. Dismantle devices and take a spring with plates and the valve. Working in a similar manner, remove components of the remained valves.
  3. By means of special nippers remove maslootrazhatelny caps of the directing plugs of valves (see an illustration).

Capture of a cap nippers is possible only after extraction of the lower plate of a valvate spring.

  1. Estimate a condition of the valves removed from the engine. In case of identification of signs of wear, deformations and other mechanical damages of plates or cores replace defective components.

Insignificant teases can be removed from surfaces of cores by means of a grinding stone.

  1. Make check of geometrical parameters of valves, - measure length of each valve from the flat party of a plate to a cut of a face part of a core, also measure thickness of a cylindrical part (corbel) of a plate. Compare results of measurements to requirements of Specifications of the Head Dvigatel, replace defective valves.

Measurement of length of the valve.
  1. Grease a valvate saddle with a thin layer of lead minium and, without rotating, press to it a plate of the valve. Take the valve and on the mark left on a surface of its working facet estimate density of its pressing to a saddle.
  2. In case of violation of uniformity of a spot of contact, or an exit of its width out of limits of admissible range (1.2 ÷ 1.6 mm) the saddle has to be proshlifovano a grinding nozzle for the purpose of removal of zadir and agnails, or is subjected to machining with application of special cutters with working corners in 15, 45, 35 or 75 degrees. During processing regularly repeat quality check of a prileganiye of the valve.

If the contact ring on a plate facet of the valve is displaced up, the saddle is pierced with application of a cutter with a corner of a cone 75 °; at ring shift down it is necessary to use cutters with a corner of a cone 35 ° (inlet valves)/15 ° (final valves), and 45 °.

  1. Make grinding in of valves to saddles in a head of cylinders, - as pritirochny means the special fine abrasive paste mixed in motive oil is used. Try not to allow hits of mix on a valve core. After grinding in implementation the spot of contact has to have the form of the continuous ring located in a middle part of a working facet of a plate. From this point each valve has to be unambiguously tied to the saddle, - this fact has to be taken into account at assembly.
  2. Over a surface of a head determine depth of landing of saddles by the size of a vystupaniye of cores of valves. The nominal rate makes 36.36 ÷ 37.27 mm. If the result of measurement lies within the range of 37.27 ÷ 37.97 mm, enclose under the lower plate of the corresponding valvate spring an equivalent washer. If depth of landing of the valve exceeds value of 37.97 mm, the head of cylinders should be replaced.
  1. By means of a micrometer measure diameters of cores of valves at three levels. Write down results of measurements.
  1. By means of a nutromer determine internal diameters of the directing plugs of valves.
  1. Determine by way of subtraction of the maximum results of the first series of measurements from the corresponding results of the second series the size of side plays of landing of valves in the directing plugs. Compare results of calculations to requirements of Specifications of the Head Dvigatel, in case of need replace the directing plugs.
  1. Measure sizes of a vystupaniye of the directing plugs over a head surface. Compare results of measurements to requirements of Specifications of the Head Dvigatel, in case of need make replacement of plugs.
  1. In case of need, having slowly warmed a head up to the temperature of 90 °C, by means of special adaptation, working from combustion chambers, beat out the directing plugs from the landing nests in a head.
  1. Prepare replaceable plugs, - pay attention to distinctions in a design of the directing plugs of inlet and final valves.
  1. Again having warmed a head up to the temperature of 90 °C, press new guides of the plug in reception nests on the required depth.
  2. Having finished installation of new guides of plugs, repeat measurement of side plays of landing in them the corresponding valves.

Installation of maslootrazhatelny caps has to be made after completion of adjustment of valves.

  1. Attentively study a condition of valvate springs, - in case of identification of chips, cracks and other mechanical damages replace defective components.
  2. Measure the free length of springs, estimate extent of violation of a tortsovka (see illustrations), - at excess by result of any of measurements of extreme admissible value (see Specifications of the Head Dvigatel) replace the corresponding spring(s).
  1. Perform measurement of height of cams of the camshaft, - if the result any of measurements makes less than the extreme admissible value stipulated in Specifications of the Head Dvigatel, the shaft should be replaced.
  1. Measure diameters of bearing necks, check them for existence and ovality (see an illustration). Compare results of measurements to requirements of Specifications of the Head Dvigatel, in case of need replace a shaft.
  2. Lay a shaft in prisms and by means of the DTI measuring instrument check it for existence of a bend (see an illustration). If the result of measurement exceeds extreme admissible value, replace a shaft.
  3. Carefully smooth out the interfaced surfaces of a head and the block of cylinders, clean carving openings. Measure length of bolts of fastening of a head, compare results of measurements to requirements of Specifications of the Head Dvigatel, replace the extended bolts.
  4. Assembly is made as it should be the return to an order of dismantle of components (see also Section Service of a Head of Cylinders and Components of the Gas-distributing Mechanism). When laying in a head of camshafts track that they were deployed by adjusting pins of cogwheels up. Remember that valvate components at assembly have to be installed strictly on the former places. Do not forget to replace epiploons, sealing laying of surfaces of interface of a head to the block, a final collector and the inlet pipeline and other sealing elements (including a sealing ring of the sensor of position of the camshaft). Tightening of bolts of fastening of a head is made in two-three receptions as it should be, the return shown with final effort of 80 ÷ 86 Nanometers, - before a vvorachivaniye grease a carving part and the lower party of heads of bolts with pure motive oil. Before installation of a cover of a head of cylinders apply sealant on the shaded sites of a surface of a head, - the nominal force of tightening of bolts of a cover makes 4 ÷ 6 Nanometers.
