4.4.11. Replacement of epiploons of a bent shaft

This procedure is among those which performance does not demand removal of the engine from the car.

Forward epiploon

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
  2. Turn out four fixing bolts and remove protection of a case of the engine.
  3. Merge motive oil (see the Head the Current leaving and service).
  4. Take off a GRM drive belt (see the Head the Current leaving and service).
  5. Turn out a fixing bolt and remove a GRM drive cogwheel from a bent shaft, - in case of need use the stripper intended for dismantle of a steering wheel.
  6. Take from a groove in a pin of a bent shaft a segment spline.
  7. Having used a knife with a thin flexible edge, cut through a face surface of an epiploon.
  1. Having hooked the screw-driver which is wrapped up by soft rags, take an epiploon from the landing nest in the case of the oil pump (1).
  1. Remove assembly of the oil pump (see the Section Removal, installation and service of the oil pump) and manually fill a new epiploon in a landing nest in its case.
  1. By means of a press and a suitable mandrel put an epiploon in a nest aflush with a pump housing surface, - rest a mandrel only against a firm face surface of an epiploon.
  1. Further installation is made as it should be, the return to an order of dismantle of components. Do not forget about need of observance of requirements of Specifications of the Head Dvigatel to efforts of tightening of carving fixture.
  2. Fill in fresh engine oil in the engine.
  3. Start the engine and check tightness of landing of an epiploon.
  4. In conclusion check correctness of installation of a corner of an advancing of ignition (see the Head Sistemy of electric equipment of the engine), in case of need make necessary corrections (correct landing of a belt of the GRM drive, having tracked correctness of combination of adjusting tags, - see the Head the Current leaving and service).

Back epiploon

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
  2. Hang out the car above the ground.
  3. Remove transmission (see the Head the Five-step manual box of gear shifting or Automatic transmission).
  4. On models remove coupling assembly from RKPP (see the Head the Transmission line).
  5. By means of special adaptation block a flywheel / a driving disk from a provorachivaniye (see an illustration)
  6. Turn out six fixing bolts and remove a flywheel / a driving disk.
  7. Turn out six fixing bolts and remove a back cover of the engine.
  1. Having hooked the suitable screw-driver, take an old epiploon from the landing nest.
  1. Estimate a condition of a gear wreath of a flywheel / a driving disk and components of coupling (model with RKPP). Replace defective components.
  2. Slightly grease sealing edges of the NEW epiploon and a wall of a landing nest in a back cover of the engine with pure motive oil.
  1. Accurately fill an epiploon (1) in a nest of a cover (2).
  1. By means of a press and a suitable mandrel put an epiploon in a nest aflush with a cover surface, - rest a mandrel only against a firm face surface of an epiploon.
  1. Establish into place a back cover and fix it by bolts.
  2. Establish a flywheel / a driving disk. Having greased a carving part of previously smoothed out fixing bolts with sealant, fix by them a flywheel / a driving disk, having blocked it from a provorachivaniye by means of special adaptation (see an illustration), - bolts drag on in three stages with strict observance of requirements of Specifications of the Head Dvigatel.

Carving part of fixing bolts has to be completely cleared of old sealant, - if it is not possible to achieve absolute cleaning, the corresponding bolt should be replaced.
