6.4.6. Check of serviceability of functioning of components of control systems of engine / decrease in toxicity of the fulfilled gases

ECM
The description of the elementary check of ECM is provided in the Section of the Control system of the engine and decrease in toxicity of the fulfilled gases.
TPS

Warmed up a lambda probes
Check of tension
|
- Warm up the engine up to the normal working temperature and leave it working at single turns.
|
- Connect the voltmeter to the weight and the plug No. 4 (a black wire) of the socket checked a lambda probe.
|
- Several times short breakthroughs lift engine turns, - indications of the voltmeter have to change in the range of 0 ÷ 1.0B.
|
Speed of fluctuations of tension on post-catalytic a lambda probe is less than on dokatalitichesky. |
- In case of negative result of measurement check serviceability of a condition of system of onboard self-diagnostics (OBD), depression depth in the inlet pipeline, pressure in fuel lines, - if it is not possible to reveal any deviations, replace a lambda probe. The required effort of tightening the lambda probe makes 30 ÷ 49 Nanometers, do not forget to establish a sealing washer.

Check of resistance
|
- Make sure that ignition is switched off.
- Disconnect from a subject to check a lambda probe an electrical wiring and connect an ohmmeter to plugs No. No. 1 and 3 of the contact socket, - at a temperature of 20 °C the result of measurement has to make about 6 Ohms. The faulty sensor is subject to replacement, - track respect for effort of tightening.

Sensor of a detonation (KS)
|
- KS is installed on the right side of the block of the engine. Without disconnecting the sensor, connect the voltmeter to the plug No. 3 (a flavovirent wire) of its contact socket, - ground the second wire of the measuring instrument on weight.
- Include ignition and knock with a wrench on a basic beam of the power unit, - the sensor has to generate power surge with an amplitude less than 1 V.
- Replace the faulty sensor (see the Head Sistemy of electric equipment of the engine).

Sensor of accelerations of the chassis (CAS)
|
|
- CAS serves for tracking of vertical movements of a frame of the car at its movement in cross-country conditions. On the basis of the data of ECM arriving from the sensor analyzes information on admissions of ignition in the engine.
|
- Without disconnecting an electrical wiring from the sensor, connect the voltmeter to the plug No. 3 (a blue-green wire) of its socket, - ground the second wire of the measuring instrument on weight.
- Include ignition and knock with a wrench on a basic arm of the sensor, - the voltmeter has to record power surge with an amplitude less than 1B.
- Replace the faulty sensor.

Diesel models

Check of the sensor of position of the accelerator pedal
|
- Check the output tension of the sensor. On single turns the result of measurement has to make 0.3 ÷ 1.1B, at completely open butterfly valves - 3.68 ÷ 5.0B.
- In case of need disconnect an electrical wiring from the sensor and fill the probe of lezviyny type in a gap between the lever and an emphasis.
- Check the sensor for conductivity existence: at a thickness of probe of 0.45 mm conductivity has to take place.
- In case of need release the fixing screw and make the corresponding adjustment.

Check of the relay of shutdown To/in
The principle of management of compulsory shutdown To/in
|
- By means of this ECM relay provides compulsory shutdown of a clutch coupling of the K/V compressor for the purpose of maintenance of stability of turns of idling under following conditions:
- Within 9 seconds directly after implementation of start of the engine;
- At excess by temperature of cooling liquid of value of 118 °C (the compressor continues to remain disconnected until temperature does not fall below 113 °C);
- Within 3 seconds at full opening of butterfly valves;
- For 2 seconds during sharp acceleration with more than 30 percent squeezing of the accelerator pedal at speeds of movement lower than 17 km/h.
- For check of serviceability of functioning of the relay include ignition and activate air conditioning system.
- Squeeze out the accelerator pedal and aurally make sure of serviceability of shutdown of magnetic coupling of the compressor, - the compressor it has to be activated about 3 seconds again later.

Checks of the EGR system
Check of serviceability of functioning of EGR
|
- Check is made by means of the diagnostic scanner.
- Connect the scanner to DLC start the engine.
- Enter the section of service checks "2 SERVICE DATA TEST" scanners and according to information displayed the display make sure of serviceability of functioning of the EGR system, edges it has to be disconnected forcibly (OFF) during the operation of the engine on single turns, during a deseleration, at high turns and the raised loadings; during acceleration and at warming up of the engine the amount of the fulfilled gases mixed with combustion chambers is minimized; under all other conditions control of admixture is exercised by means of the operating EGR valve.

Check of serviceability of functioning of the operating electromagnetic EGR valve
|
- Disconnect vacuum hoses from the valve.
- Having blown in the valve, make sure that it is in a closed position.
|
- Disconnect an electrical wiring from the valve and give on it battery tension, - the valve has to open (check, having blown).
|
- The faulty valve is subject to replacement.
|
|
Check of serviceability of functioning of the executive EGR valve
|
- Start the engine and leave it working at single turns.
|
- Connect the manual vacuum pump to the valve and create depression, - with a depth of depression over 65 mm of mercury. stability of turns of the engine has to be broken considerably, up to a stop.
|
- Replace the faulty valve, - track that fixing bolts at installation were tightened with the required effort.
