Check of serviceability of functioning of the vacuum valve


  1. The vacuum valve which is built in a cover opens at education in a working path of the cooling system of depression.
  1. Having delayed down, open the vacuum valve of a cover of a radiator, - at an otpuskaniye the valve has to be closed completely. Make sure of lack of mechanical damages of working surfaces and a sealing element of the valve. In case of need replace a cover.

Check of serviceability of functioning of the pressure head valve


  1. The pressure head valve at excess by pressure in system of some preset value provides a conclusion of excess of liquid from a radiator in a broad tank.
  2. Remove from space between the valve and its saddle traces of a scum and small garbage.
  1. Connect a special tester to a cover and begin to pump up gradually pressure the handle of the last, - pressure has to be stabilized at the level of 0.75 ÷ 1.05 kgfs/cm2. Stop inflating, - pressure has to keep at the reached level within not less than 10 seconds. In case of need replace a cover.

All path of the cooling system


  1. Establish a cover on a radiator.
  1. By means of the hose equipped with a transitional nozzle connect a special tester to a cover (see сопр. illustration) also create pressure of 1.05 kgfs/cm2 (103 kPa) in system. If pressure does not keep, attentively examine all hose connections of a cooling path on existence of signs of development of leaks. Make necessary corrections.

Alternatively the tester can be connected directly to a radiator mouth which it is previously necessary to uncover.

Replacement of hoses

  1. The conditions of components of the cooling system revealed in the course of check (see the Head the Current leaving and service) the damaged hoses are subject to replacement without fail.
  2. Merge liquid from the cooling system (see the Head the Current leaving and service).
  3. Weaken and take aside fixing collars. Accurately remove a hose from reception branch pipes. If the hose does not give in to removal, try to rotate it, trying not to damage a branch pipe which breakage is fraught with considerable expenses, - remember that branch pipes of a radiator are among enough fragile components! In case of need the hose can be cut, - the cost of a new hose is incomparable to costs of acquisition of a replaceable radiator.

Before cutting a hose, prepare the replaceable element suitable on a standard size.

  1. At installation of a new hose at first put on it collars and only after it get on reception branch pipes. For simplification of installation of rigid hoses moisten internal surfaces of their ends with soap water or heat in hot water, - in order to avoid stratifications do not lower a hose in the boiling water.

Collars of coupling type will be reasonable to be replaced screw/worm.

  1. After landing of a hose to branch pipes check correctness of its laying in a motive compartment. Shift collars for the ends of a hose, having brought them for flaring of branch pipes, then tighten.
  2. Fill the cooling system (see the Head the Current leaving and service).
  3. Start the engine and make sure of lack of signs of development of leak of cooling liquid in places of landing of a replaceable hose.
