10.3.4. Replacement of epiploons of output shaft

The order of implementation of the procedure is similar for both output shaft of the transfer case.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Hang out the car above the ground.
  2. Turn out four fixing bolts (two in a support and two in the chassis) and remove a side support of a suspension bracket of the transfer case.
  3. Merge from the transfer case oil (see the Head the Current leaving and service).
  4. Having marked the landing provision of components (see an illustration), turn out fixing bolts and separate the corresponding driveshaft from the transfer case, - take a shaft aside and tie up it to a cross beam.

In order to avoid violation of balancing of the driveshaft do not disunite a shlitsevy joint of its sections!

  1. Having marked landing situation, remove a connecting flange of an output shaft.

The nut of a forward flange is painted in silvery color and have left-side cutting. For fastening of a back flange the nut of bronze coloring with a right-hand carving is used.

  1. Having hooked the suitable screw-driver, take an old epiploon.
  2. According to catalog number of a detail make sure of correctness of selection of a replaceable epiploon and put him to the place of removed.
  3. Establish into place a connecting flange and tighten a nut of its fastening with the required effort (111 Nanometers), - track correctness of combination of the landing tags put in the course of dismantle.
  4. Priboltite to a flange the driveshaft, - besides track correctness of combination of the landing tags put in the course of dismantle. Screw and tighten fixing bolts with the required effort (36 Nanometers).
  5. Having replaced a sealing washer, screw into place and tighten a drain stopper of a case of the transfer case with the required effort (30 Nanometers).
  6. Fill in necessary amount of fresh oil of the required grade in a box, correctly having modified its level (see the Head the Current leaving and service).
  7. Replace a sealing washer screw into place and tighten a jellied/control stopper with the required effort (30 Nanometers).
  8. Screw into place bolts and nuts of a side support of the transfer case. Tighten fixture with the required effort (nuts: 40 Nanometers, bolts: 23 Nanometers), then lower the car on the earth.
