General information

The transfer case serves for perception of torque from an output shaft of transmission and its distribution between wheels of back and forward axes of the car. In addition the box is equipped with the two-level reducer providing a possibility of the movement in raising (2H and 4H) and lowering (4L) the modes. On the models equipped with RKPP the transfer case can switch in the neutral (N) mode allowing to make freely towage of the emergency vehicle.

The transfer case consists of assemblies of entrance, intermediate, back day off and forward day off of the shaft placed in the three-section aluminum case, which forward cover of a pribolchen directly to a transmission case. Besides a forward cover the case of the transfer case consists of a case and a cover of a chain of the drive of a forward output shaft. Switching of the modes of the transfer case is made by means of the 4th (models with RKPP) the/3rd (models with AT) the position lever placing on the central console of the car behind the lever of switching of the AT RKPP/selector, - the lever is connected by drafts to the switching forks placed in a crater of the transfer case.
