10.3.2. Removal and installation of the lever of switching of the modes of the transfer case

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Turn out two fixing screws, cock the lever of the parking brake and remove back section of the central console.
  2. Release lock-nuts and remove handles of levers of switching of the AT RKPP/selector and the transfer case.
  3. Turn out three fixing screws, and remove forward section of the central console.
  4. Release fixing nuts / a bolt, remove a fixing plate and dismantle a boot(s) of the lever of switching of the modes of the transfer case and lever of switching of RKPP (on models of the corresponding complete set).
  1. Turn out fixing bolts and remove the lever (1) of switching of the transfer case. Take aside the clamp of an electrical wiring put on a forward bolt and remove the back console.
  1. Examine the lever on existence of signs of wear of mobile components, deformations and other mechanical damages. Check a condition of a spring and a sealing element. Visually estimate degree of wear of visible elements of the drive of switching of the transfer case. Replace defective components.
  2. Grease a landing surface of a plate of the basis of the lever with silicone sealant and start lever assembly on the regular place, - do not forget to put an electrical wiring plait clamp on a forward bolt.
  3. Further installation is made as it should be, the return to an order of dismantle of components, - track observance of requirements of Specifications of the Head the Transmission line to efforts of tightening of carving fixture.
