General information
Assembly of coupling provides smooth perception of torque from a flywheel of the engine and its transfer on a main shaft of the transmission, and also a rupture of a stream of power at the gear shifting moments.
On all models equipped with RKPP one-disk coupling of dry type with a diaphragm spring is used. The nave of the frictional (conducted) clutch plate is equipped with the longitudinal vents entering gearing with vents of a pin of a main shaft of the transmission. Frictional and press clutch plates keep in contact with each other due to the effort developed by a diaphragm spring of a press disk.
Switching off of coupling is made in the hydraulic way. The drive of switching off consists of a pedal of the coupling connected to the GTTs tank (see the Head the Brake system) the main hydraulic cylinder, connecting lines and the executive cylinder, by means of a fork of switching off of coupling connected to the release bearing. When squeezing a pedal of coupling in a path of a hydraulic actuator pressure which resulting influence is put to the external end of a fork of switching off rises. At turn the fork rests fingers against the release bearing which, being displaced, nestles on petals of a diaphragm spring of a press disk in assembly of a basket of coupling. Being curved, the spring removes press and conducted disks from gearing, interrupting with that torque transmission from the engine to the transmission.

At coupling service, besides replacement of the components having obvious mechanical damages it is necessary to make some primary checks (it is supposed that the transmission is in good repair):
- First of all it is necessary to make check of level of liquid in the GTTs tank (see the Head the Current leaving and service). In case of need execute the corresponding adjustment, having added the required quantity is fresher than hydraulic liquid of the required grade, and attentively examine system on existence of signs of leaks. At emptying of the tank of the main cylinder it is necessary to remove from a hydraulic path air traffic jams (see the Section Removal, service and installation of the executive cylinder of the drive of switching off of coupling), then to check serviceability of functioning of coupling;
- For assessment of time of switching of coupling start the engine on normal turns of idling. Make sure that neutral transfer is included and release a coupling pedal. Squeeze out a pedal and, having waited for several seconds, turn on the reverse gear, - switching should not be followed by the gnash and other extraneous noises with high degree of probability indicating malfunction of the conducted disk or assembly of a basket of coupling;
- For check of completeness of switching off of coupling cock the parking brake and start the engine. Holding a coupling pedal at the height about 13 mm over a floor, a popereklyuchayta a box between the first and back transfers. Existence of hindrances when switching the lever speaks about malfunction of components of the mechanism of switching off. Estimate the size of the course of a pusher of the executive cylinder of coupling, - at completely squeezed out pedal the pusher has to move forward at a noticeable size, otherwise it is necessary to check the level of hydraulic liquid in the GTTs tank;
- Make visual check of a condition of axial plugs in the top part of a pedal of coupling. Make sure of lack of signs of jamming and an excessive side play of an axis;
- From under the car check reliability of fixing of a fork of switching off of coupling on a finger of a spherical support.
